HeatSpecific uses specialised thermal imaging equipment to locate heat losses in buildings - due to inadequate insulation in roofs, walls, windows, doors and floors. This is used both to identify deficiencies in buildings such as failure in cavity wall insulation unseen to the naked eye and to confirm satisfactory performance. It is routinely used to confirm the effectiveness of improvements following remedial work and can be combined with calculations to show the reduction in energy losses resulting from the work.
It is a valuable, assessment technique to highlight opportunities where you can reduce energy wastage and thereby save running costs.
We can also detect and indicate dampness in walls and floors due to failure of the building structure or as a consequence of flood or water damage. Again the technique is used before and after remedial work to confirm the effectiveness of remedial works.
